Client / Professional FAQs:

In short, the MDG process is essentially facilitated through traditional Contract and Contract-to-Hire model. You can assume many of the same attributes as those.  The biggest difference is the structured development plan behind it, and the commitment from each party necessary to execute that plan.

Actually, NO. We don’t feel this is for everyone for a variety of reasons.  Finding the right clients and professionals, where they’re a good fit for us, as well as we’re a good FIT FOR THEM is a HIGH PRIORITY for us and we feel critical for success.

Our focus is equally on both. However, we know we put both parties in the best position by focusing on the development of the professional.

We like to see our Placement Partners as a combination of mentor, coach, and a “shadow” manager. Though we do not take over the direct management of our professionals, in any way, we will always be there for them, we’ll push them, and we’ll provide them with feedback we feel they’ll grow from.

Though others do offer similar aspects of what we do, we don’t see anyone else provide the exact same. Further, we simply feel we’ll do a better job.  To successfully provide these services, it requires the right personnel, processes, and procedures and we’ve put in the necessary investment to have each of these.

We know it’s the right thing to do for the professional (and a core part of what we set off to do) and we know the client and professional will get the best service as a result as well.

We ensure each Placement Partner has the experience necessary and has a proven track record of developing finance professionals.

Yes.  Each of these professionals can be brought on full time after their initial contract.  However, we require a minimum of 6 months to ensure we have enough time to develop them while partnered with MDG.  We will also push to ensure this professional is ready and wants to be brought in full time.

Yes, a bit. However, it’s not a lot and it’s needed to ensure you’re getting the best service.  We ask for feedback monthly on the performance of your professional and we ask for feedback after the professional is done with their contract.  We need these minimums, but do see this as a working partnership, so if you need to talk more, we’ll be open to do that.

Their development will be custom to their needs, wants, and desires. We have a standard process that facilitates this for each professional, but what each will work on will be based on where their current development is, where they want to go, and what’s needed to get there.

Professionals FAQs:

We highly recommend seeing the benefits of this approach. Yes, technically, you will be a Contract employee, but we believe our approach minimizes any issues/concerns that may come along with that.  AND WE FEEL – there are JUST TOO MANY BENEFITS.

There are minimal commitments outside the employment contract you sign when placed. Though we considered asking for a commitment to find your next role through us, we feel that is simply not an option.  We feel so strongly in our approach that the right candidate will want to partner with us.  If not, then the fit just isn’t right.  There will be some operational commitments we ask for, such as: attending certain meetings we hold, playing your part in this process, etc., but these will be discussed in greater detail before you come on board.

For specific details, see our Services Page. There are differences in each of our services, but substantial differences in our services under the MDG Model.

  1. We do not take over full ownership and responsibility of your development. We are here to support, push, and guide you, but the responsibility of your development will always be (as it must be) your responsibility.
  2. We do not take over the direct management of you in your role. We will be there to offer guidance and feedback, and assist in any way we can, but the direct responsibility of your management must stay in the hands of your direct manager.

There is definitely a commitment involved in our process (even though not formally required). The most amount of additional time is spent up front during the interview and onboarding process.  After being placed, the amount of time we ask for is very minimal.  Please contact us for further details on this.

Under the MDG Model, this will be treated similar to a traditional contract employee. However, since there is a minimum term of 6 months, though there is an option for the client to end this early, it is unlikely.
